Wireless sensors failed a whole neighborhood and I was the last to know

Did a condo complex retrofit in Toledo last month, swapped 40 doors over to wireless sensors. Looked great on paper, passed my own walk test on every unit. Next morning the manager calls saying 6 zones are showing faults. Went back with my meter and the interference from the building's old intercom system was killing the signal at 2.4 GHz. Spent 4 hours re-running hardwire to those units. Anyone else hit this kind of environmental noise issue that no spec sheet ever mentions?
