Thought keypad-only panels were dying out until a job in Sandusky changed my mind
I honestly figured touchscreens were taking over everything, but last month I did a 12 unit apartment building in Sandusky, Ohio and the landlord wanted old school keypads on every unit because his tenants kept smudging and cracking the glass ones. We put in 12 basic keypads and saved him around $600 total compared to the fancy ones, and not one callback since. Turns out there is still a real market for simple stuff, especially in rentals where nobody wants to explain an app to a 70 year old tenant. Any of you still pushing keypads on your commercial and multi unit work?
