Panel grounding mistakes got my customer shocked last Thursday
Had a call where someone tied the ground to a plumbing pipe instead of the rod outside and the whole panel buzzed. Check your grounds people or you're sending 120v through someone's sink.

...and that reminds me of the time I replaced a light switch in a 1950s house and found the ground wire just twisted around a copper water line under the sink, lucky nobody got zapped but it made me sick thinking about how many showers that guy took. The worst part is the homeowner argued with me saying it "worked fine for thirty years" as if that somehow makes it safe, you know? Doesn't matter how long something works, one bad connection can turn a faucet into a live wire real fast.

Did you see that article someone posted about how old houses basically had no real grounding at all? I swear half the houses built before the 80s are just death traps waiting for someone to touch the wrong pipe. The guy arguing it "worked fine" is exactly the type who probably also thinks you can fix a fuse with a penny.
