Had to choose between a ladder rescue and a crowbar yesterday, picked wrong
Customer's panel was up in a bedroom closet with a jammed door, so I had to decide between climbing through the tiny attic access or prying the hinges off. Took the crowbar route, busted the trim, and now the homeowner wants me to fix it Saturday for free, anyone else dealt with a door that just refuses to cooperate mid-job?

always go for the attic access first. busting trim is way worse than crawling through dust. if the door is jammed that bad, it's usually the frame anyway. you probably would have fixed it from the inside with a screwdriver. now you gotta eat a free Saturday and explain why their trim looks like garbage. learn the lesson and move on. crowbars are for demo days, not service calls.
