An older installer in Phoenix told me to stop taping my wire nuts, and now I get why
Was chatting with a guy who's been doing this for 20 years at a supply counter in Phoenix, and he said tape just hides a bad splice instead of fixing it. Switched to twisting the copper tight and giving each nut a solid tug test, and I haven't had a single callback in 8 months. Anyone else ditch the tape, or am I the odd one here?
