My air fryer noise confused the pizza guy

I was cooking fries in the air fryer when the doorbell rang. The delivery person asked if I had a tiny helicopter in my kitchen. Do your friends or family ever make silly comments about your air fryer sounds?

Did that "tiny helicopter" comment make you think of other weird things your appliances sound like?

Appliances usually just sound like what they're built to do. A fridge hums to keep things cold, a washer sloshes water around. Calling them tiny helicopters or whatever is just your mind making things up. People hear patterns where there aren't any. My microwave beeps, it doesn't sing opera. They're machines, not sound effects.
