Finally picked a basket over foil for my frozen fries, and my Wedgewood oven thanks me
Small win here. For months I was lining my air fryer basket with foil for frozen fries because I was scared of a mess, and they kept coming out limp and pale. Last Tuesday I finally tried the bare basket with just a light spray of oil, and after 18 minutes at 400F they were crispy all the way through, no sogginess. I had been doing 1/2 inch thick hand cut fries from a bag of russets I got at the Aldi on 5th, and the foil was trapping steam the whole time. Cleanup took maybe 2 minutes with a soak, which was the whole reason I went foil in the first place. So the foil was solving a problem I made up. What do you all do for wet stuff like zucchini, do you pat it dry first or just send it?
