Update: Changed my mind about AI voice cloning after a demo at a friend's shop

Was at a buddy's auto body shop in Cleveland last Tuesday and he showed me how he uses an AI voice clone to handle customer calls while he's wrist-deep in a transmission. I always thought it was creepy gimmick tech, but hearing how it cut his missed call rate from 40% to 8% in two weeks flipped me. Has anyone else found a practical use that changed your initial opinion?

A buddy of mine runs a small HVAC outfit outside Pittsburgh and swore he'd never use this stuff until a competitor used it to book three jobs while he was on the toilet at 2 AM. He's been sold ever since.

Oh man, that's such a perfect example! @campbell.nora I had almost the same thing happen with my buddy who runs a landscaping crew - he was skeptical until his neighbor's kid used one of these bots to line up four lawn mowing gigs while my friend was still sipping his morning coffee. It's crazy how fast this stuff proves itself once you see it working for someone else.
