Pro tip: ran an AI voice clone through my own podcast audio and the result was terrifying

I fed 20 minutes of my rambling show notes into Resemble.ai and the clone sounded more like me than my actual recording, now I’m questioning if my listeners can even tell the difference has anyone else tested their own voice and gotten spooked by the accuracy?

Man that's creepy on a level I wasn't ready for today. I tried cloning my voice for a work project and ended up freaking out my own dog because he couldn't tell which talking head was real. The fact that our voices are basically just data patterns now feels like a bad sci fi movie we're all living in. Pretty soon we'll all have AI clones doing our podcasts while we sleep in. Guess we should start leaving secret codewords in our recordings just to prove we're the original meatbag version.

Meatbag version" I love that, that's my new band name if I ever start one. Guess I better start leaving a few awkward pauses in my speech so my clone sounds like a robot trying to sound human.
