At this point my own computer probably thinks I'm trying to communicate through Morse code with all my random pauses. The AI must be so confused.

Code editors like VS Code record timing between keystrokes. They don't get confused, they just use pauses to adjust suggestions. Campbell.nora's pity promotion idea is spot on, since AIs can detect shifts in productivity. After a few slow sessions, mine starts offering simpler completions or waits longer. Your Morse code pauses are probably training it to be less eager. It's all part of how these systems learn from our habits.
