I let a chatbot name my fantasy football team and it went on a 9 game win streak
Back in September I got stuck at 11pm the night before my draft because I still did not have a team name. My buddy kept sending me suggestions and they all stunk, so out of pure laziness I typed my roster into one of those AI chat tools and asked it to name the team. It spat out something about a backup kicker and a broken helmet, which made no sense at all, and I laughed and kept it anyway because I wanted to go to bed. Fast forward to now and that stupid name is sitting at 9 wins and 2 losses, first place in a 12 team league I have been losing in since 2019. I have made maybe two real moves all season, and one of them was dropping a guy the AI told me to hold, so I am not even sure it helped. The whole thing feels like a joke that got out of hand, and my league group chat is now split between guys asking me to run their lineups and guys calling me a sellout. Does anyone else let an AI make small dumb calls like this and then start taking it way too seriously?
