That fake 'limited time' popup in Nashville got me so bad

I was booking a hotel for a work trip and this countdown timer said 14 minutes left on a 'deal', so I rushed through checkout at 2AM. Turned out the timer resets every single time you refresh the page, and the same price showed up three days later. Has anyone else fallen for those fake urgency timers, or am I just too tired to think straight?
