Can we talk about how a $12 clickbait ad got me to buy the same knife I saw in a $4 one?
Last week I saw two ads for a kitchen knife. One was a loud video with a guy yelling about a 50% off sale, and it cost $12. The other was a quiet, boring ad with just a photo and a price of $4. I clicked the $12 one by mistake because my thumb slipped, and then I clicked the $4 one out of spite. The $4 knife ended up being the exact same model, so I bought it and saved eight bucks. Has anyone else noticed that the fancier ad is often just selling you the same cheap thing?
