Steam from my kettle made a perfect fake painting on the kitchen ceiling
Last Sunday I boiled water for pasta and left the kettle running too long. Steam rose and condensed on the ceiling in this weird swoop pattern that looked exactly like an abstract wave painting. My wife walked in, said "did you hire a muralist while I was out" and I almost choked. Took a photo before it faded, still on my phone. It faded in like 4 minutes but the shape held longer near the vent. Now I kind of want to recreate it with actual paint, but I know it won't look as good. Anyone else ever catch a temporary ceiling art moment that vanished too fast?
