Shoutout to the rusty chain link gate in my alley, its rust bloom is doing more than my camera ever has
Took a photo of the gate behind my building on Cherry St. two years back, just flat orange rust, nothing to it. Last Tuesday I noticed the pattern had spread into this fan shape, thin strands curling from the hinge bolt down toward the latch. Rain off the roof has been dripping that same spot for 18 months straight, and the iron finally gave in along those lines. Has anyone else watched one dumb piece of metal turn into something you'd actually hang on a wall?
