Almost deleted a photo of my cracked windshield last week, glad I didn't
I was cleaning out my phone storage last week and had my thumb hovering over the delete button on a photo I took of my windshield back in March. The crack started from a rock on I-35 near Waco and spread into this wild shape that looked like a river delta or a lightning bolt frozen in glass. I almost picked the delete option over keeping it because who keeps a pic of a broken windshield, right? But something made me stop and I saved it instead. Later that night I was scrolling through the Accidental Art feed and realized that crack had this perfect branching pattern that a painter could not plan if they tried. Ended up printing it at Walgreens for 89 cents and now it hangs on my fridge next to my kid's drawings. Has anyone else almost tossed a random photo and then realized it was way cooler than you thought?
