Unpopular opinion: those old guestbook pages are the best part of a dead site, not the comment sections people keep trying to save
A guy on a web forum back in 2019 told me to skip the guestbooks on old sites and focus on the articles instead, but after poking through the guestbook on a defunct Ohio roller rink page from 2001, I found 14 posts from regulars who actually knew each other, which no archived article ever gave me, so am I wrong for thinking the guestbook is the real record?
