Spent $40 on a web hosting plan in 2007 for a fan site that's still online
I was really into this one band back then and paid for a year of basic hosting to run a site with lyrics and photos. The band broke up, I forgot to cancel, and the auto-renew kept going for years, so it's just been sitting there untouched since maybe 2009. I mean, it's kind of a weird time capsule now, but I'm not sure if I should finally pull the plug or just leave it up as an abandoned web find. Anyone else have an old personal site they're still paying for by accident?

How much do you think I've spent over the years on my old Angelfire site? I'm too scared to check the bank statements. It's basically a shrine to my 2003 obsession with frosted tips. I keep it up as a warning to my future self about bad financial choices. Honestly, your band site sounds way cooler than my cringe page. I'd leave it up, it's a piece of internet history now.

Honestly, checking those old statements is probably a good idea. That Angelfire bill is just dead money every month for a joke nobody visits. Tbh, future you might want that cash for something that isn't a digital hair gel museum. Ngl, pulling the plug feels way more like growth than keeping up a cringe archive.
