Gave up on CSS for a week, built a blink tag monstrosity
I made a habit of avoiding any modern code and stuck to basic HTML from the 90s. The site looked awful but had a charm I miss. What are some other outdated tags or tricks that were popular back then?

That 90s web design felt like building a house with duct tape and hope. I still have nightmares about aligning those nested table cells for HOURS. Honestly, modern CSS might be complex but at least it's not pure chaos.

Remember how everyone used framesets? Splitting the screen into little boxes that each had their own scrollbar. What a mess. Marquee tags made text slide sideways like a cheap diner sign. And building whole layouts with nested tables, that was a special kind of pain. It was all clever hacks back then but honestly, modern CSS is way less of a headache.
