I spent 2 hours last night hunting for a 1997 fan site that used a hit counter shaped like a little mailbox

My older cousin showed me a Dragon Ball fan page back in 1997 on his family's new Gateway, and the thing I remembered most was this tiny animated mailbox at the bottom that clicked up a number every time someone visited. Last night I went looking for it on the Wayback Machine and could not find it after maybe 40 tries, just so many dead GeoCities links and a couple of Angelfire pages that half loaded. What I realized is that most of us remember the hit counters and the guestbooks way more than the actual writing on those sites, which makes sense since they were the only proof other people were out there. Does anyone else remember a specific counter style, like the odometer one or the spinning globe, or is it just me who got weirdly attached to a mailbox?
