Deleted my entire GeoCities shrine by accident in 1998

I was 14, trying to rearrange my Sailor Moon fan page folder on my dad's Windows 95 machine in our living room in Phoenix, and I clicked 'delete' instead of 'rename' on the main index file. Spent the next three days rebuilding it from memory with no backup, just typing HTML in Notepad while my sister yelled at me for hogging the phone line. Anyone else lose hours of work to a single wrong click back then?

Lost three weeks of work on a Final Fantasy VII fansite when I accidentally dragged the entire folder into the Recycle Bin and emptied it without checking. My dad thought I was crying over the game ending but nope, just mourning all those poorly coded table borders and autoplaying MIDI files. Still have nightmares about that 56k modem screech while I frantically redownloaded all my blurry screenshots from Angelfire mirrors lol.
