Beats any place in town" has me wondering what they charge for a bowl of lentils. I'd believe you're paying twenty bucks for the vague sense of moral superiority they sprinkle on top.

That new spot on 5th Street charged me eighteen bucks for a bowl of tomato soup last week. The decor was all recycled barn wood and quotes about mindfulness. Felt about right for the price.
