PSA: My mail carrier asked if my tomato plants were a new art installation.

I had to explain they're just heirlooms, not modern sculpture.

Right, because nothing says "family treasure" like a vase that looks like it got into a fight with a garbage truck. Solid point about the grown vs. made thing, @parker_hunt61.

Why do we get upset when vegetables don't look like plastic toys? See it with houseplants too. People return them if a single leaf has a spot. Like life comes with a warranty now. We sand down all the rough edges until nothing real is left.
