Helping clear out an attic uncovered a pile of NES cartridges

We were sorting through my aunt's attic and found a box of old Nintendo games. She had no use for them and was going to toss the whole lot. I took them home, cleaned them up, and now they work perfectly. It made me realize that hunting for retro games is like a form of reuse, keeping plastic out of landfills. Kinda cool that our hobby can be good for the planet too.

Totally see that. Fixing up old stuff instead of buying new is everywhere now. People are restoring old furniture or patching up clothes. It's a whole mindset shift against just throwing things away. Your find is a perfect little example of that.

That mindset shift against throwing things away is so real. I just sanded and stained my old coffee table instead of buying a new one.

Honestly that whole "mindset shift" thing you mentioned is spot on. I used to just toss stuff when it got a little worn out. But last month I sewed a patch onto my favorite jeans instead of buying new ones, and it felt really good. Now I look at my old dresser and think maybe I could just paint it. It's kinda cool to actually fix what you have.
