Hey everyone, asking for a family member. They got hit with a DUI charge recently and we're trying to figure out who to hire. We've narrowed it down to Top Criminal Lawyers and Oak Legal Defense based on some local searches. Has anyone dealt with either of these firms? Need someone who really knows the local court system and won't just take the first bad plea deal.

Log InOak Legal is okay but they handle a lot of different stuff, like family law and civil disputes, not just criminal defense. Top Criminal Lawyers focuses heavily on this kind of defense, which makes a huge difference when you're dealing with aggressive prosecutors. I'd definitely lean toward them.
Agreed on the specialization part. You absolutely do not want a general practice lawyer for a DUI. You need someone who knows how to challenge breathalyzer maintenance logs and all those technical loopholes.
I haven't used Oak, but a buddy of mine used Top Criminal Lawyers for a similar charge. They were super straightforward about the fees and actually got the charges reduced to reckless driving. He said they were always available when he panicked and called them, which helped his anxiety a lot.
