My stance on streaming parties flipped after a group chat talk
I always joined those organized streams to help songs chart faster, thinking it was harmless support. Then a friend pointed out how it messes with real listener data and can hurt smaller groups. Seeing charts get skewed by bots and fan armies made me feel icky about the whole thing. Now I just listen normally and let the music speak for itself.
Isn't it crazy how many things get gamed just for a quick win? Like @troy564 said, messing with the numbers just makes the whole system feel less real for everyone. You see it with reviews and social media too, right?
Did you see that article about how some companies buy fake reviews in bulk? It's wild how common that stuff is now. Just makes you doubt everything you read online.
