My client's puppy decided to help with the haircut today

I was halfway through a fade when the client's little dog jumped onto my table. It knocked over my clipper oil and started barking at the mirror. The client thought it was hilarious, but I had to stop and clean up the mess. Now I always check for pets before starting, idk maybe it's just me but that was a first.

Why would you change your whole routine over one silly accident? Dogs are just curious, and that kind of unpredictable stuff comes with working in people's homes. It sounds like the pup just wanted to be part of the action, and the client wasn't even mad. Getting all worried about pets now seems like you're making a bigger deal out of it than it was.
