Unpopular opinion: That flaking ice cream mural on the side of the old shop is about to disappear

I just saw the ghost sign for 'Frosty Treats' losing big chunks of paint after the last rain. If nobody acts soon, we'll lose this cool piece of our food history forever. The sun and rain are breaking it down faster each season. Go take a photo this weekend before it's all gone.

Clear photos of old signs can sometimes kickstart a rescue effort. I rallied some neighbors after posting shots of our crumbling bakery sign, and the city finally fixed it. Worth a try before the rain eats the last of it.

Shared some shots of our fading theater marquee last year. A local news site picked it up, and suddenly everyone was talking about restoring it. We got a grant to fix the lights and repaint the whole thing. Photos really do make people see what they're about to lose. Who would have thought a few pictures could do that? Betty126, you're spot on about acting before the weather ruins it for good.
