This town's new goose problem is making fence jobs way more interesting
Honestly, the weirdest shift I've seen lately is how aggressive the local geese have gotten. Tbh, last week I was setting posts by the new pond development, and a whole gang of them started patrolling like feathery security guards. Ngl, I had to pause the auger more than once because one big guy kept charging the base of my ladder. It's like they think every new fence line is an invasion of their turf. My helper now brings a bag of bread crusts just to distract them so we can work. Who knew wildlife management would become part of the job description?

Man, do you think they're actually getting more aggressive or just less afraid of us now?

That bit about feathery security guards is so real. Tbh ive noticed animals in general just getting way more bold lately, like theyre done with humans taking over. The raccoons in my complex wont even run from cars now, just stare you down. Saw a coyote chilling in the CVS parking lot at like 2pm last week. Ngl it feels like after lockdown everything shifted and they just... moved in. Like we blinked and the wildlife decided the deal was off.

Seriously, @dakota_burns96, a goose at the park full-on chased me last week and I'm pretty sure it was laughing at me. It's like they saw us hiding inside for a year and called a whole animal meeting. We're definitely just tenants now, and the landlords have feathers and fur.
