Just realized I was wrong about using a rasp for every final trim
Switched to a sharp hoof knife for the last pass on a draft horse's flare last month and the difference in how clean the wall breaks was immediate, so what's your go-to tool for that final touch?

Honestly, a sharp hoof knife is a game changer for that final clean-up. It gives you way more control than a rasp for a crisp break. I have to side with the original post on this one, it makes a real difference. Maybe @rivera.susan just hasn't tried it on the right horse yet.
