The worst mud I ever had to work with was in a Reno condo last month.
The builder bought some off brand stuff that felt like wet sand and set up in about 12 minutes. I was trying to finish a 12 foot ceiling and had to throw out three pans full because it just crumbled. What's the fastest setting mud you guys actually trust for a big job?

Yeah, @avery_walker30 is right about that name brand trust.

Man, my buddy got burned on a similar deal. He was using some fast-set garbage that went off like a bomb in the bucket. Now he only trusts the name brand stuff, even if it costs a few bucks more.
