Is there a line between zine community and personal branding? Found a stat that blew my mind

Take that stat and see where the zine scene overlaps with influencer culture. A lot of people start zines because they enjoy the hands on work and the community feedback, not because they want to build a brand. But once you put your name out there and start selling copies, it shifts into personal promotion territory. The line gets blurry when someone uses their zine as a resume piece for a bigger gig, then drops the community aspect for networking opportunities.

Yeah, that's a tough one. It's a real bummer seeing people treat community spaces like a stepping stone instead of something to actually be part of. Totally get what you're saying.
