Three hours to replace a 30 cent fuse in a 1988 stereo tuner
Found my dad's old Yamaha tuner in the basement last weekend. Plugged it in, dead. Opened it up expecting a blown fuse, which was right. But the fuse was one of those weird glass kind with the little legs, not the plain cylinder ones I had on hand. Spent three hours digging through parts drawers, calling around to two shops in Cincinnati, and finally found a kit online. Had to wait 4 days for shipping. The whole thing took 5 minutes to swap once the part arrived. Anyone else spend half a day fixing something that should have been a 10 minute job?

Whoa, three hours and a 4 day wait for a fuse? That's wild. I mean, I would've just given up and told myself the tuner was cursed or something.
