CompuServe vs. Reddit, which one argued better in 1994?
I dug up an old 1200 baud modem last week and managed to get into a CompuServe archive someone posted online. Spent like 3 hours reading forum threads from 1994 about whether DOS or Windows was the future. People were PISSED, writing paragraphs with full caps about memory management. Meanwhile here we are with the same arguments but we just add GIFs and downvote. So which one was actually better for debate? Did the slower pace make people think more or was it just less noise? I'm geniunely curious if anyone else has gone back and read old BBS arguments vs what we do now.

People were pissed about memory management back then too, so really, was it ever that deep?
