Serious question, did you know a single strand of hair can hold about 100 grams of weight before it snaps?
I was reading a trichology handout from a class I took in Dallas last spring and that 100 gram number stopped me cold, because it means a full head of hair can handle a small person's worth of pull. It made me rethink how rough I get with a fine-tooth comb on wet hair, since wet strands stretch way more before they break. Does anyone else change up their detangling routine based on stuff like this, or am I overthinking my comb angle?
