My clippers died halfway through a fade on Saturday and I had to finish with scissors
I was doing a skin fade on a regular at 2pm Saturday when my clippers just stopped. No warning, no weird noise, they went dead in my hand with half his head done. I had no backup set because mine was in the shop for a new cord, so I grabbed my shears and blended the whole thing by hand. It took me 40 extra minutes and my hand was cramping by the end. Client was cool about it and actually liked the softer blend, but I was sweating the whole time. Now I'm shopping for a second pair and I don't know if I should get the same model or try something new. What do you all keep as your backup clipper?
