Picked the diner on 8th over the fancy brunch place, and the $6 plate was better
Went out for breakfast with my cousin in Dayton last Sunday and we stood on the sidewalk for 10 minutes arguing about two spots. The trendy brunch place had a 40 minute wait and $16 avocado toast, so we walked two blocks to this little diner called Rita's with a hand painted sign and cracked vinyl booths. I got two eggs, hash browns, toast and coffee for $6.50 and the cook came out to ask if the eggs were runny enough. Best part is the owner keeps a jar of homemade hot sauce on the counter that you just have to ask about. Anyone else got a cheap breakfast spot that beats the hyped ones?
