TIL the hard way about curing blankets in cold weather

Last February we poured a slab in Burnsville for a garage and I figured the 50 degree forecast was safe enough without blankets. Woke up to 28 degrees and the surface had that white dusty look, no strength at all. Ended up tearing out $900 of concrete and redoing it with accelerant and insulated blankets. That job ran three days late. Anyone else swear by a specific blanket weight for shoulder season pours?
