Thought stamped concrete was a gimmick til I saw a guy in Phoenix fix a 20 year old slab that looked brand new
Watched a homeowner pour $9k into a new driveway when his old stamped one just needed a clean and reseal. Guy charged him $600 and it looked better than the new stuff going in down the street. Anyone here actually making good money off restoration instead of new pours?
Read a thing a while back about a crew in Texas that does almost nothing but strip and reseal old stamped work. Said the money is steady because the gear is cheap, just a good pressure washer and sealer, and one guy can knock out a driveway in a day. New pours tie up a whole crew plus a truck and a pump, so the margins get thin once you pay everybody. Half their calls are folks who got quoted 8 or 9 grand for a tear out and had no clue resealing was even a thing.
