That Tuesday pour in Ann Arbor was a total nightmare from start to finish

Ngl, we had a crew of five show up for a 12 yard slab at a house off Packard, and the drum showed up forty minutes late with the mix already stiff. Then the finisher we had on the bull float called in sick, so two of us had to handle the whole pull while the homeowner kept asking if we'd be done by noon. By the time we got the edges done, the sun had baked the surface in spots and we had to rewet and work it twice just to keep it from checking. We finished at 4:45, almost three hours past our estimate, and the customer was pacing the whole time. Has anyone else had a pour where the mix and the crew both went sideways on the same day?
