A client in Dayton with two cats and a 6 year old gaming rig had dust felted into the CPU fins so bad the shop vac just polished it into bricks. Switched to a little electric duster about 3 months ago and the same job went from 40 minutes to 15, no static worries either. Anybody here still running canned air, or did you all move to something rechargeable?
Did you ever notice how the fixes that actually stick are the ones where you stop fighting the tool and just get the right one? Same thing happened with my kitchen drain, spent years with a plunger and store bought junk, then a $15 drain snake cleared in two minutes what I'd been battling for an hour. Or take raking leaves, the plastic fan rake vs the old metal one, night and day on wet stuff. We just get used to doing things the hard way because that's how we learned it. Your shop vac was basically polishing the dust into the fins, the air duster actually blows it out, different job entirely.
