Dropped $320 on a thermal camera last month and it found a bad breaker in 10 minutes
Client at the Oak St salon kept losing power to half her stations and I had already wasted two trips guessing at outlet wiring. I finally caved and got a FLIR One, and within 10 minutes of pointing it at the panel I could see breaker 14 glowing way hotter than the rest. Turned out the lug was loose and arcing, which no amount of meter poking would have shown me from the outside. I billed her for one visit instead of four and she's already sent me two referrals. Now I want to know, do you all trust the cheap $150 knockoff cams or is the name brand actually worth the extra cash?
