Watched a buddy do it on a wreck off Cocodrie and he swore the clack is what pulled the fish in, not the shine. I always figured the sound just spooked everything, but he limited out while I got skunked, so who knows. Tbh I still clip mine now out of habit even when the water is clear as gin. Something about that little tick against the mask just feels right. Weird how a two second habit from one guy can stick with you for years.
