My local store's dollar bin dig turned up a gem from 1987

Last Saturday I spent about $12 flipping through the discount boxes at Comic Haven in Portland and found a beat-up copy of Uncanny X-Men #210 with the old price sticker still on it. The cover was creased and someone wrote their initials on page two, but the interior art was actually in decent shape, which got me thinking about how we treat older books. Do you guys mostly chase pristine copies or do you have a soft spot for well-loved back issues with a story behind them?

Yep, those worn copies feel like time capsules, way more honest than a plastic-sealed slab.
