That $180 espresso grinder upgrade almost ruined my morning routine

I spent 180 bucks on a fancy hand grinder last month after my old blade one kept stalling on dark roasts. First week was great, but then the adjustment ring slipped and suddenly my shots were running in like 15 seconds, sour and messy. I wasted a full bag of beans over three mornings before I realized the burr lock nut needed a wrench I didn't own. Finally fixed it with a pair of pliers and some YouTube video from a guy in Portland, but the frustration was real. Has anyone else had a grinder part fail right after the return window closed?
