Can we talk about whether a $2,400 tool presetter is worth it or a money pit?
I run a small shop in Akron and dropped about $2,400 on a used tool presetter last year. One side of me says it paid for itself because we quit scraping parts from wrong offsets and setups got faster. The other side says a guy with a tenths indicator and a granite plate does the same thing for way less. Some of you swear by them and some think they're just a fancy answer to a problem you can fix with a marker and a test cut, so where do you land?
