Bought a $240 smart thermostat to cut my energy use, and my bill went up $26 a month
The thing kept kicking my AC on at 3pm because of some "eco balancing" feature nobody warned me about, and I only caught it after comparing 4 months of Austin Energy statements, so has anyone actually saved money with one of these or did we all just buy a fancy clock?
