Serious question, did I just get lucky with my 1965 Mustang's carb rebuild in my garage last Saturday?
I was in my garage in Tulsa trying to get my 1965 Mustang to idle right after sitting for 2 years, and it kept stalling every time I touched the gas. I pulled the carb apart, found a stuck float needle and a bunch of varnish gunk, so I soaked everything in cleaner overnight and threw in a $12 rebuild kit. Saturday morning it fired up on the third try and held a steady idle for 10 minutes, which felt like a huge win after 3 weekends of frustration. I know a lot of guys just send these off to a pro, but has anyone else had good luck rebuilding the 2100 carb at home?
