Saw a guy at the Hershey swap meet use a dollar store turkey baster on his brake fluid and now I'm mad I never thought of it
I was walking the rows at the Hershey fall swap meet in Pennsylvania last weekend and stopped at a vendor selling old Buick parts. The seller was topping off the master cylinder on his 1955 Special and instead of a fancy syringe he pulled out a plain turkey baster from the dollar store. He said he's used the same one for 6 years and just wipes it clean after each job, costs him a buck to replace if it gets nasty. I tried it on my own car Tuesday and it worked great for pulling the old fluid out without making a mess. Has anyone else found cheap kitchen stuff that works better than the actual automotive tools?
