Took me 7 hours to figure out a nest clog was sitting above the damper, not in the flue
I kept running the rods up and hitting nothing, then finding zero draft on the smoke test, and I pulled the whole brush kit out twice thinking my links were bad. Turned out a squirrel had packed 4 inches of leaves and twine right on top of the damper plate where the camera could not see past the frame. Any of you carry a mirror on a stick for that spot, or do you just pull the damper every time now?
